    It looks to me like my Nash prolly pole , they used to sell them separately because of breakages to hollow Brolly poles, although some Nash brollys came with them in . I think someone has adapted it to suit their needs . Ie , dog spike or digging stick like Matthew said.

    Yeah, I measured my latest korum pod, approximately 68" fully extended and the Defiant pod is woefully short at 39 " fully extended , that's with 3" in the ground, that's why I went for 32" which will extend to 62". Hopefully it will still be ok with the butt bar on the bottom of the main shaft .
