I've a pair of them on my 'Trent' rods, so not been used much in the 18 months or so since I got them but I like them (although I am a baitrunner fanboy). They're certainly bigger than my GTE5000B's.

Does anybody know the size of the tip ring on these? I'm after a rod for Tench fishing with a slider float, my current Tench road (13ft series 7 carp waggler) has too small a tip ring (2mm) for the knot.

I'm curious about how much, if any, bait you're all putting in if you're on a roving session. Is it wise/worth it to put loose feed in if you might only be there for 30 minutes? To be clear I'm not asking about any pre baiting you might do on the walk out, just what you do on a fresh, unfed...
