i reckon its a pike tube they used to all have these and use them at adams mill for the big girls in there you could peg them out and leave them to recover
looking for some diawa powermesh barbel rods 2.25 or 2.75 lb prefer the older type with proper eyes and pairs prefered but will take singles also , i am based in suffolk travel to peterborough to fish so may have to be willing to post if to far away .

You can get decent cheap units on amazon and you will omly need a basic one for bait
I buy a couple of kilos of boilies at the begin of the season and do parcels of 15 baits which is enough for a days fishing
You can buy rolls or bags on ebay
I'm located in Suffolk and there are barbel in the stour but not loads and takes a lot of leg work to find them
I do most of my barbel fishing in the nene
I have this the compact and it fits on my fox rucksack lovely and it's comfortable and I also have the s23 chair with the barrow kit for the longer journeys I found the delux chair although it had a taller back a bit more uncomfortable than the standard s23 and very heavy
