Never used it for Barbel i think just by the nature of the river with sunken snags branches etc if you are unlucky enough to get broken up a fish towing a length of lead core will very soon get snagged and tethered so for me its a big no no.
I also stopped using it for carp fishing many years ago.
I would agree with Paul and Bob as a braid user for more years than i care to remember i have never seen a Barbel with braid wrapped around it or mouth damage caused by braid.
I've used braid hook links up to 4' and don't get tangle's i just use a PVA bag or a stringer on the hook when i cast.

I have used the large ones on my storm poles for a few years now with no problems, i have never used them on my landing net so can't say if they would be strong enough.
Terry it would seem you did not get the quiver in the picture.
I've had one of the Super Specialist quiver's for a few years and its only got one pocket on the opposite side to the rods and three small pockets in the base for the rod butts.
