    Nash siren RS1 alarms x 4

I saw the ebay listing. Rang my son who was after some new alarms just a couple of weeks ago, he's bought Delks since I last saw him, he looked at these and would have had them otherwise. I would have had them but I'm going to start listing my own for sales to raise funds for a new motorbike...

    Nash siren RS1 alarms x 4

Absolute bargain and if I didn't have so many SX digitals and SXV's I'd snap your hand off!

    Baits for new season

I've been using the source pellet and boilies for years, along with various liquids, dumbells, hookbaits etc. I've retired them for at least this season and have, on the recommendation of a mate, bought a load of hinders pellets and some extra hard boosted hook baits. A change is as good as a...

    Fluorocarbon mainline

Don't fall for the "fluro is invisible in water" spiel. It's far from it once it's been submerged a while, it picks up suspended particles in the water (dependant on local conditions) and looks like a washing line adorned with your undies, just like any other line.

    Reasonable sized baitrunners?

I recently got a pair of these in the 5000 size for some avon rods and they're a cracking little reel. Don't let the 5000 fool you, they're a compact bodied reel with a bigger spool than the smaller listed sizes. Perfect for Avons or upto 1.75-2.00lb rods

    Rod Position Changes

My rods go as low as the conditions allow, on a low, slow Swale, fishing close in, they're inches above the water.

What are your top ten angling books?

Came a couple of days ago in as brand new condition and numbered 392 of the first 500 and signed by the man himself. I paid £7.50 plus a couple of quid postage.

Seeking a mini big pit reel - any suggestions?

I have 5000 GTEb's on my chimera 2's and they fit perfectly. Not a mini big pit but IMO anything bigger than a 6000 would be too big.

What are your top ten angling books?

Fishing magic was the website and forum that he moderated and ran. The mag was Coarse fisherman. I met and fished with Graham for fishing magic in an inter-site challenge match. It was basically a match between angling forums; fishing magic, maggot drowners, anglers net and two or three others...

What are your top ten angling books?

I'm surprised Yates hasn't had a mention. The only angling books I read repeatedly are his!

    Which Deeper?

I've had the pro+ for a few years now and it does the job. If I was buying new I'd get the chirp+ 2. I have a wire trace on mine in case it gets attacked by a pike. You can discern weed, silt and harder ground with it. I was watching a fellow member of my syndi' use one on his bait boat to...

    Scales

I've just bought a set of these and checked them against my avons. They weigh exactly the same! I never thought I'd go digital but for £16 I thought they were worth a punt. One advantage I can think of straight off the bat is the tare function, I'm a stickler for accuracy and I zero my scales...

    Scales

Same, I zero them to read 1lb and knock 1lb off the end result. I've tried it with a 4oz, 6oz etc "zero" and weighed the same item and got the same results after deducting the "zero"! I bought a set of flyweights which I checked against a set that I knew to be accurate, they were a few ounces...

    Particle baits.

I had a very large haul of Barbel from the Trent some years ago fishing 10mm halibut boilies over a spodded bed of particles. It was a partiblend with red and yellow maize in it, I'm getting another sack this season to try the same tactics on the Swale.

Korum waist trotting tray, Is this a good or dumb idea?

Bait waiter on a long bankstick or bait apron. Reinventing the wheel IMO.
