I'm glad someone else found them to be not that great, for the money I expected better . The heel area in mine have got a large bump in then now , so it causes blisters when you walk in them .
Tackle box does a skeletal rod sleeve, it's only padded at the tip, reel pouch and butt. I got one for an 11ft rod , nice and light. It's on there website, I haven't a clue how to put it on here thou

I was using them again yesterday , and tried them with a kicker like Richard suggested and it seems to work out well, only wrapped around once all day, but I will also try the rubber tubing as well , cheers wayne

I don't know, I thought you was looking at something smaller then a 5000 size. If you've seen the gs4000 size and are happy with it, I'm sure it won't let you down
It's funny we spend hundreds on rods and reels, chair's , luggage, but surely we should be looking at buying the best hooks available whatever the price, that goes with bait aswell
