Hi Rob I was using them again yesterday , and tried them with a kicker like Richard suggested and it seems to work out well, only wrapped around once all day, but I will also try the rubber tubing as well , cheers wayne

The stretch of Mole I fish has been hard going. Only had 1 barbel so far. The chub have been a bit thin on the ground too, which is unusual.

I don't know, I thought you was looking at something smaller then a 5000 size. If you've seen the gs4000 size and are happy with it, I'm sure it won't let you down

I think Ju I know Julian Cundiff uses the GS 4000 ,so if they are good enough for him. Reckon you could get away with the 3000 aswell thou.

It's funny we spend hundreds on rods and reels, chair's , luggage, but surely we should be looking at buying the best hooks available whatever the price, that goes with bait aswell

I guess most of the hooks we use are for carp fishing , and if they don't sell well they get the chop.
