More cheap Grubs on sale
That was also what I was getting at - people don’t might not want the real thing but getting outdoors even if it is a bit like sitting in your own front room is better than not at all.
I’d take my kids doing it instead of sitting at home on the Xbox all day
Big cardboard tubes from carpet shops are a must imo. My local Angling Direct has a load of heavy duty cardboard tubes they must use for sending, might be worth asking them or a fishing shop if you have one near.
I've only used UPS, never had a problem sending, cheapest I've found but still...
Thanks Bill, thanks for sharing that info and for your very kind offer.
I had a quick look round in February this year, there’s a lot of water but with my limited mobility I like how easy a lot the swims are to park near.
Al the best for the rest of the season.

Hi Bill
I’ve read about your catches on the spring ticket with interest. I nearly got one this year but I’m still recovering from back surgery so a night on a bedchair doesn’t appeal.
It’s a bit of a drive for me so it would be long sessions only but am I right in thinking that it’s still...
Free Spirit Hi-S Specialist Big Water 12ft 2.25lb probably worth a mention. I've never used them myself but I'm on the lookout for some - they're well-regarded on here for Barbel and some of the Big Tenchers are using them for distance and weedy Tench fishing.
I've got 12' 1.75 Torrixs for...
Hi Anthony
What are the neoteric like for distance tenching?
Apologies if this takes the thread on a diversion but Ive been watching it with that in mind
Hi Martin
If you can find it there’s an article by Keith Speer on the site somewhere. He was a master of the art, but there some very good pointers for the less skilled, like me.
Well worth looking up
Edit: here it is...
In my experience it’s become more prolific. I normally fish the other VAC stretches but last winter I was struggling after a back op and when I noticed the car park was empty I liked the idea of a short walk and a couple of hours of catching. It was a bit silly, I don’t think the bait was in...
I'm by no means an expert and dont fish regularly with pins anymore but I've owned all four of the pins you mention and I was least satisfied with the Speedia and ended up with the Sheffield and cant see me changing
I got a TA quiver after reading this, seems great so far so thanks for the recommendations
I’ve quickly realized how important tip protectors are, any recommendations gratefully received
I’ve owned the Xperts and now the X-Calibres in the same tc. If it makes any difference they were released quite a few years apart, and while the action is similar I didn’t feel like they were the same. The Omegas coming so soon after the X-Calibres that were a limited run and at the same...
