    Spopper wanted

@Richard Isaacs Deburr those holes in the body and i'll give you the full 10/10 😂 (seriously, they look great, and in carpy green none the less 😅)

    Korum speed fit tripod adapter

That was a great idea poorly executed Rob!! 😂

    Dark carbon xtra power rods

Just to add, I bought a pair of the same rods, slightly mismatched. Cork handle length differs by half inch, but the ringing is identical so if I squint a little I don't notice the difference, and I do suffer with fishing OCD 😂 Assume original buyer bought one and then at a later decided to have...

    Cadence Barbel Rods

I have put a couple of the little plastic hook keepers that are held on with rubber bands, which you can buy cheap as chips, on my free spirit rods. As Richard notes, this type of assembly slips/moves around on the blank and can be a pain, however it seems a far safer option than hooking onto...

    New PB!

Well I had no idea what I had caught, but a good friend reliably tells me that it was massive for the species! Took a liking to 10 maggots on a size 8 hook 😂

    Medium spopper

Eddie's spoppers are 'spop on' by the way 👌 (see what I did there?? 😅)

    Unhooking mat or not?

Poor show then :( I won't mention bite alarms... 😂

    Unhooking mat or not?

I'll get my comment in before it all kicks off 😂 I do think you can safely land and handle fish on the bank in many scenarios without a mat. But! I always carry one, it rolls up and straps to the top of my rucksack, weighs very little and takes up no space, so there's absolutely no reason why...

    48" Banksticks update

I wrap some self adhesive reflective tape around my bank sticks/storm poles so they stand out once head torch applied. Does help. Also makes it less easy to forget something when packing up in the dark as a scan round with the head torch picks them out straight away ;)

    Reels ....thinking outside the box

I have a set of 3 of these on my Torrix carp rods. Top notch reels! No baitrunner just quick drag, although they do (or did do) a baitrunner version being the Castizm BR25A. I'm sure those would come under the banner of high end baitrunner reels and if anything like the 25QDA, just as good!

Harrison dark carbon 2.5 extra power rods x2

Hi Peter, Please don't think I'm being horrible, but £500 asking price might be a bit strong. You can buy a pair of brand new ones from Mark Tunley, similar spec, for £480. They are 'off the shelf' however and yours appear custom made for you so no doubt you paid more, but you'll struggle to...

New Digital Scales (No poxy battery)

Another vote of confidence for fishdeal. Decent service and very good prices 👍

    Some advice needed please...

I will 2nd this. I use a lot of their stuff and they are hard to be beat on price, quality and speed of service 👍

    Another Rod Question!

I have just recently picked up a 2nd hand pair of the M Tunley Dark Carbons and can confirm having now caught barbel on them they are superb rods. Definitely on the heavier side (still having to adjust to not overcast with a heavy feeder 😅). Build quality etc is top notch 👍

    Some advice needed please...

I don't stress about matching groundbait to boilies or other baits, I think its main use use is simply as a carrier of other freebies (hemp/pellet etc). I know last autumn when some mates went onto using maggots with maggot feeders, I tried this and just found them fiddly. So even in the depths...

    New Baitrunners

Terry, can't comment on the model recommended, but I've got a pair of Daiwa Black Widow BR3500 A and had my first half decent fish using them last week, 9lb Wharfe barbel. They were excellent, clutch smooth, baitrunner smooth. Not what you're after (they're a budget reel really) but a general...

    Black pudding for bait..

Easy for me to remember as the wife and I stayed in his accommodation and we chatted about the fame of being on the front page of the angling mags (think he was Angling Times, I was Anglers Mail). Although I was 18 with a snotty bream and he had a 20lb+ barbel. I'd swap in an instant 😂
