Hi Gary, what storm pole adapters did you use? I've looked into getting some but the spokes are quite chunky, 6mm'ish. I've been using PowerPro in breaking strains of 9kg (20lb), 13kg (29lb) and most recently 15kg (33lb). Haven't used the 15kg yet (would have had 13kg again but none in stock locally) but that's on my flood rods. 9kg is on my 11' 1.75tc rods and 12' 2lb tc rods, 15kg is on my 12' 2.5lb tc rods...

To be honest I don't lose many feeders, but the ones I do lose tend to be more the metal cage type with the cage coming away from the rest of the feeder and just leaving the boom and swivel attached. Another tip for using PVA, many will be aware I'm sure but for those that are not... Dip your mesh bag in salmon oil before chucking it out and it slows down the dissolve rate of the PVA. I use this method on a couple of deep (20ft+) swims I fish on the Ouse 👍

I guess in answer to your question, those little clip on lights have 3 levels of power, I use mine on the lowest setting but maybe on full power, with a modern phone camera, it would provide enough light for a pic without flash. I guess if that was your intention the rhino light kind of thing...

I always use the phone camera flash, but as mentioned I set the camera up a bit further away from me than I would for daytime shots, just to avoid the flash being overpowering in the photo. You can then crop it back to size. I also find taking the pic from a little further away makes the focus...

A good tip I can give you, in my opinion of course, is to take the pic from a little further away than you maybe would. I'm not talking 5 yards, but maybe a couple. If too close the camera flash can overpower the picture, but move it away a little and then crop the picture afterwards generally...
