    PVA mesh

I have looked at lots of options & now cable tie a ronnie rig swivel (as above) to the bottom of the lead so it all hangs below. Doesn't tangle & doesn't pull the swivel out of the semi fixed lead set up that I use. You can tie any size of PVA bag.

    Barbel fishing in Surrey

No problem at all Neil. The woking ticket definitely allows fishing into the evening, the well known spot is Pigeon House - I think Byfleet have the opposite bank? Woking has some lovely lakes on the ticket also but was a bit regimented and busy for me on these so I decided against it

    Barbel fishing in Surrey

I had a Byfleet ticket a few years back. Some lovely looking stretches of the river wey & there are some big fish in there but for me it was a case of trying lots of stretches & figuring it out myself - catching lots of bream from snags in the process. I barely saw anyone else on the bank but it...

    Floodwater rods.

Sold my 2500's for exactly the same reason. Thought that spending a fair amount would eliminate such a design flaw but unfortunately not. Lovely smooth reels otherwise!

    Too Good to be true

Opinions are one thing and I'm sure most people enjoy discussions and a bit of banter. Shoving your opinion down someone's throat is not discussion and it doesn't make it a fact however convinced you may be that you're right, it's an opinion and perhaps certain people need to be reminded of that.

    Too Good to be true

Do we need or want this type of thread, isn't that what Facebook is for - no moderation on there! I enjoy this site for fishing. I value & appreciate all the advice & knowledge that others are generous enough to share. I couldn't give a **** what peoples views are other than around fishing but...

    Too Good to be true

I too. I never realised it was possible to gleen so much about a person who salmon fishes or buys from China or who has a waist size larger than his inside leg etc etc. A guy posts about a site where some people can save money IF THEY WISH TO! How many people died today from Covid, how many...

I've no doubt the anti angling brigade would be most impressed with those images!

Pet flea treatments and water pollution

I read this article earlier also. What struck me was that nearly 80% of cats & dogs are receiving flea treatment whether they need it or not - that's nearly 17 million? Just more marketing hype based on fear!

    Unwritten rule

I'd never do it, the last thing I would want is to be right next to someone, but have experienced it on a few occasions. If the river is busy then inevitably I'll speak to the angler and check where he is casting etc so as not to impact them. That said, I wouldn't have a conversation out loud...
