Hmm interesting Tim thanks for your thoughts. I've never really fished it like I say so open to hear people's experiences. I did fish essentially stret pegging a few years ago for carp. I had a ssg 3inchs orb so from the hook then a short length of quill attached top and bottom but laying flat...
LIFT METHOD ANYONE? (See below)
Bill what an afternoon! What I love about fishing is all the unknowns as well as new methods to learn and enjoy. This might not be the right place to post? But thought as it was tench I'd try. I've done a fair bit of research and ultimately it'll come down to...
Steve I hope you get it fully repaired and back on use in homage to your dad. I to lost my dad in October and have a few things if his not fish but a beanie and it makes me smile every time I wear it.
Afternoon lovely people, just a quick ask which centrepin people rate the best. I know this is a barbel page but I know lots of people fish for other species.
This will be a small river trotting primarily chub reel. Any thoughts above or experience would be helpful thank you Jon
Ow some lovely photos there 😍. The one I was looking at is the 4 inch 3/4 so the superlight is 180 grams! I would switch lines on it from time to time.
Cheers Alan yes I know! 😬 I cannot fault the service and care I've received with regards advice etc. I've also had a weight fitted which apparently makes the rod more balanced which they did for me for free. I'm yet to use it for barbel but to be fair it feels OK. I was going to push to the...
I'm considering buying the superlight weight pin. Has anyone used one and recommends them for in the water trotting for barbel and chub?
Annoyingly I was offered a good price on the light weight but missed it! I've bought the cadence 14 #4 float rod and it's a tad on the heavier side! I was...
Hi Danny, it was my wife's cousin but it was parcel force 48. He cut the tube down as small as could go. I'm pretty sure he's got an account to so probably gets its cheaper that way to.
Cheers Alan no worries I understand. I can't really commit to dates with my life currently. It's definitely a frustration when rods get over that 1.5m.
If postable id be interested but obviously the size etc which we all know about! I got a rod sent from a family member last week but it was under 1.5m (13ft) next day £9.20!!!
Nice Ian enjoyed that bit of footage thanks for sharing. That was a proper bunch of maggots being displayed on that hook 😉. I'd love to be able to get those torpedoes on the float rod. I took my new cadence #4 to my local lakes yesterday in the hope of encountering lump alas i failed superbly...
Mine is a separate landing net and like I say its massive (essentially a holding net i guess). It's only likely to have 2 or 3 fish most and usually smaller fish. These 2 fish were biggest the river gives there or thereabouts.
