I roll my own and find it a chore as well 😆
I had been looking at outsourcing the rolling and I found a company in Coventry, you provide the base mix and they provide the eggs and labour.
Unsure as to cost but I have no confidence in mainstream baits.

They're not as brutal as they sound.
I have a 14ft CTX 120g and it handles silvers quite well.
Just makes a far side chuck easier and keeps more line out the water to get away with smaller weights.
Only 1 at present, Pride of Derby ticket.
But I do go fish a day ticket on occasion for a bit of variety.
Looking at Notts piscatorial for next year and im also 1,4xx something on the list for Ashfield 😀
Looking at treating myself to a pair of Harrison rods for next year, factory built and ordered through Walkers of Trowell.
What are the main differences between the Chimera 3 2.25lb and the Torrix 2lb?
I've heard the Chimera 3 is the one rod to rule them all, can be used in most situations...
Korum Aeronium deluxe chair ticks all the boxes, they do a recliner too but without armrests.
Deluxe chair weighs 4.6kg with the padded mattress and only 3.6kg without.
I've been using 12lb Tournament ST all season, a couple lumps did me in snags but I was fishing too close to them to be fair.
15lb Tournament ST isn't too thick either.
What's everyone using? Low clear and daylight i use 8 or 10lb drennan supplex fluoro but could do with something better, it's a bit stiff and wiry.
Coloured water or night fishing I'm using avid Carp captive coated braid in 15lb, its really nice and supple, best I've found so far 👍
For hooks...
Reading a little more the stuff the aquaculture industry uses is synthetically made and close to 100% pure. The stuff I'm using is 10x less potent being an algal extract.
So I could probably get away with 20g per kilo but 50g wasn't massively off the mark.
I'll definitely experiment 🙂
I didn't have a starting point to aim for really so started at 50g as it wasn't prohibitively expensive and turns out it's not at all repellant to the fish.
There is scope for people to experiment and reduce the amount as they see fit.
Stuff I use is the fox edges slow melt system and puts fish on the bank for me melts no problems 👍
I use the wide 35mm

I've just taken delivery of a pair of the Fox black label ones at £20 a pop and they are fantastic, expensive but really well made. Look like they'll last a lifetime.
This is the seller i use if anyone wants to source their own. Most cost effective is the kilo which will make 30KG of finished boilies if using 50g per kilo of dry mix as i do.

One way to find out, I'll make a one egg mix without the Astaxanthin and fish them side by side for a while 😀
I'm pretty confident though as it was supposedly in the original Elipse and Robin Red.
Only other thing it could be is the blackberry powder which itself is the most potent fruit for...
It's something to consider giving a go 👍
The Astaxanthin powder itself has no smell to my nose, but that's not to say the fish can't detect it (Betaine Anhydrous or HCL salt has no smell either for example)
When I'm fishing my boilies I'll also cut 3 in half and stick them in a pva mesh bag on...
I've just ordered a kilo off AliExpress for £84 shipped, not the cheapest seller but its the same place I got my last batch from so I trust it. Works out £4.20 per 50g and should get it in 3-4 weeks so watch this space 😀
