Tfg river and stream 11ft Rod wanted

I’m happy to come down to £60 Kevin but don’t want anything to do with the courier. I’ll put it in a plastic tube with bubble wrap to be picked up. Let me know if that’s ok and I’ll post some photos up for you. It’s in fairly good condition.

Tfg river and stream 11ft Rod wanted

I actually like the rods and still use mine for small river perching and chubbing. Had chub to just under 6 on mine.

Tfg river and stream 11ft Rod wanted

Sounds like they’re fetching silly money but I’d be happy to let it go for £80. Not sure if I have the rod bag or not. Probably do somewhere. I could put it in a plastic tube if you wanted to arrange a courier.

    Highly waterproof jacket recommendations

I’ve given up on ex military gore-tex, had about 4, it always leaks at the neck and shoulders because its best years are already behind it, but like myself. Now going to buy new, with the berghaus cornice or Rab kangri gtx looking the most likely, both on offer if you look around.

    Rudd

Started my fens Rudd campaign on the 16th this year and managed to up my pb to 3.0lb exactly. Weighed by a friend so no half ounces added ! Absolutely chuffed to bits. Bought a silly hat for the new campaign, now my lucky silly hat.

    Line recommendation.

I have used Silstar (0.22) for many seasons but have changed over to Stroft gtm this season (0.22). Reflo power (0.20) hooklengths.

    Grayling

Had a weekend away with my brother after the ladies of the stream the other week. Brother hadn’t fished for about 40 years and wasn’t thinking he’d missed much after the first day - he blanked and I had 8 fish. He started to get the hang of it the next day and managed a scraper 2 which made his...

    global warming

Climate change has never happened at the pace we are seeing now, not even anywhere near close to it. What’s the obvious, glaring event that’s occurred alongside this ? If something doesn’t smell right, follow the money, and the real money is undoubtedly behind fossil fuels. It’s easier to fool...

    global warming

If you looked at a graph of co2 emissions (along with all the other damaging gases) over the last 200 years, I would assume most people’s default position would be that it must have a significant impact on the climate, and yet for some, not so. For some, the climate change agenda is being...

    Martin Bowler leaving Drennan

Daniel Woollcott and Adam Jones seem to be the new faces of Drennan. I enjoy the Drennan videos and will continue to buy their products. I wish Martin well with his new partnership with Nash and hope he gets back to full health.

    Cheese Boilies

I used to cut my hi nu val with clo to make it more economical. Don’t most boilie companies post fresh (unfrozen) and you then put it straight in the freezer ? Pretty sure my supplier does.

    Zander

Thanks Rich, the stars aligned as they say or jammy git.

    Zander

Never caught a zander before but armed with info gleaned from this thread I decided it was about time I got out there. Blanked on my first session and was pestered by eels. Not disheartened, I returned the next day and managed this cracker of 10lb 6oz. Thanks BFW

    Roach

My thoughts as well Joe, although if I’d caught it on the fens this summer I’d have returned it as a new pb Rudd without a second thought. Cracking fish.

    Rudd

Had one last foray to the fens this week but struggled, so that’s it for this season. Did manage to up the pb two weeks ago though with this beauty of 2.08. Grayling, zander and chub will be getting my attention now.

    Sad news - Keith Truscott

Keith bought a pin from me last year and we exchanged several emails. Turns out he lived just up the road from where I now live. Really friendly guy, very sad news indeed.

    Rudd

That’s what I thought G as it came over the net cord. Still made me smile though all the way home.
