Tri-Cast John Allerton Rod, anyone use it?

I bought an 11 new on this site last year. Lovely little thing. But sold it as a favour really, plus admittedly a profit so never used it. I think they did a 12 too and a barbel. Plus some 12 or 13 carp.

    Cheaper pins

I recall in the mid fifties when I first fished on the lea navigation, bakerlite pins, 2/6 each. They were a pain when a horse drawn barge came along. True!

Seems a worrying bit of news .

my own view Graham is that politicians live within their own bubble. Our water has seemingly reached the situation where we are all at risk. We see the problems of lack of housing, medical care, water pollution etc espoused on the news ad finitum. Climate change seems to be a easy target as...

Ah, that's great. I was unsure whether 140 or 150 and frankly didn't see the difference in their price structures.

I found out the above when I was stupid enough to send a hardy in its cordura tube thinking that would protect it

    Advice on rod selling.

About 10 years ago Richard I wondered whether the "we buy any car "methodology could be adopted by a rod manufacturer. I had in mind someone like middy/ north West etc. This afterall adapted the document exchange which was set up during a postal strike in the early 70''s. It later became DX.I...

    Advice on rod selling.

The reply from U P S to justify their enormous increase in charges in 2021 said the rod tubes got stuck at the angle changes on the conveyor belts. In future they would be personally walked through hence the extra cost of personal handling. I wonder if any have been damaged in the last 3 years?

    Advice on rod selling.

Just a silly story on this subject, I had been looking for a shim aspire ultra feeder and float for years since I wouldn't afford them when current models 10 years or so ago. I found a new 13' float last year at Warrington , collection only. As that is 260+ miles I had my cousin collect who...

Absolutely right Tim. Judging by how little time between listing on bfw classified to the magic "sold "being added, this site is streets ahead of eBay currently.
