    River carp in deep water

I spent a bit of time a couple of yrs back chasing Ouse carp from a stretch with limited numbers, was good fun and had some nice fish From my limited experience I would suggest: Carp like to show themselves so spend some time looking at dawn and dusk They can be nomadic so once found do some...

There’s a programme on Blaze tv about paranormal events, can’t remember what it’s called (Britain's big cat mystery)?? But a chap on there reported being attacked….obviously all unproven but there are reports of attacks (or at least one). The part of the programme I found most convincing was...

    Youngs River Specialist Centrepin....

Hi Julian, you mention Bucks in your post …where are you? I have one I bought mainly for Tench fishing (not used on the river yet Despite its name) but will use later in year on the river. Lovely reel and I don’t find the check problematic I am in mk14 so if ever in this area your more than...

    Vacuum Packing Bait

After draining your hemp David, add some hemp oil (or any other you fancy) then vacuum seal…thus draws the oils into the hemp and prevents dehydration if you also freeze it

Do you fish your meat straight on the hook? I fish corn and maggots straight on the hook or banded pellet but need to try meat more often

    Best waders

On the back of recommendations on here I got the Vass700e…. For me they have been excellent even on the hottest days. Quality is superb and they roll down relatively small so I just leave in the car.

    Time of day

Something I was chatting about with a mate earlier today - what’s your favourite time of day for fishing? Not talking necessarily about most productive, but rather time on the bank you enjoy the most. For him it was first light; for me I just love being on the bank early evening until sunset...

Bit of fun... What's everyone's preferred boilie of choice

I don’t bother with paste until autumn ….this time of year it’s just feeding the hoards of minnows (where do they all go later in the year?🤔)
