    Trudex reels

According to my mum all ills could be sorted by 5 treatments: Dettol, Andrew’s liver salts, camomile lotion or TCP….and if really ill out came the lucozade and chicken soup

All this talk of Dettol stripping paint has me worried…my mum regularly gave us Dettol baths for no apparent reason. No wonder I have lily white skin I’ve been stripped of all pigment😂

I wish you’d have a word with the Ouse fish then and tell them to please play nicely….those sods act like turbo charged comets😂

    Tench 2024

Good luck….tench are definitely my nemesis, I tend to only fish for them on the float and occasionally on the tip. Never had a double but come close…the carp boys regularly get the big ones but it all feels a bit dirty to me fishing for tench with bolt rigs and buzzers 😂 I’m determined one day...

    Tench 2024

My thoughts are that first light there keen to patrol the margins looking for grub…regardless if sun or shade if they come across food they will feed, then as the sun rises they seek shelter in weed, under trees etc! Probably all depends on the water, depth, weed etc but one things for sure...

Could be good if using a base mix, if using pastry im thinking you might need quite a lot as it’s so dense?? Like the idea though

    Hooklinks again

Been using the new Korum coated braid last season and really rate it, supple, low diameter and seems very abrasion resistant in 15Ib. Or I’ll just use mono, lengths vary depending on situation but anything from 6” to 2ft

Not tried often for barbel but have for chub…and very effective they are too when chub are being a bit cagey on the tip! If I’m finding hard to connect with bites when chubbing the go to bait is a boilie wafter, that usually does the trick!

    9/10ft rods

I would imagine the plan is for Nash to bring out a specialist range now they have Martin bowler onboard

If not a kevlite then yeah would guess Armalite of FBS ….the 13ft FBS were lovely rods

Could be a northwestern kevlite ….weave looks the same. But can’t remember them doing a 13ft???

    River carp in deep water

Cheers Rich will bear it in mind in future, but for now I’m going to be concentrating my efforts in trying to catch a huge Barbel I spotted in the Ouse last season….if it’s still there🤞

Korum waist trotting tray, Is this a good or dumb idea?

Looks interesting, I’ve been pondering the HH bait apron https://www.halkonhunt.com/product/bait-apron Agree with other posts the Korum thing looks horrendous
