    Lesson Learnt. Rod Posting

Looking at that list, Graham, I struggle to find much that you can send with any form of financial protection. It’s a hard lesson to learn but it seems that most parcel firms are only interested in small items and certainly nothing out of the ordinary that takes some care to transport. I guess...

I’ve never had much from there either. Some decent chub from the straight immediately above it but tbh it’s a long time since I fished that stretch and one thing’s for certain, the HA is never the same from one year to the next! Dave

That sluice is very familiar Stephen. Only problem with that section is it’s proximity to the Avon Valley Path! Dave

    Rod Licence

It is my understanding that a significant chunk of the licence fee money is passed on by the EA to the Angling Trust for use in promoting angling and fisheries. That is the reason why many anglers either left or refuse to join AT, as they regard it as being in the pocket of the EA, although...

    Rod sleeves ?

The Advanta ones from Angling Direct will take barbel rods and the 12’ are currently on offer at £14.99 in their sale. Good quality and they also do a fully padded version for another £3 or so. Dave

The site was closed down in 2020. Here is the reply that I received from the AT this morning. Dave

    Fishinginfo.co.uk

The site is run by the Angling Trust rather than the EA. Perhaps an enquiry to them would resolve the problem. I have emailed the AT site admin asking them to investigate. Dave

    Floats

Received my batch this morning too. They are excellent and I will endeavour to put them to good use in the coming months. Quality product at a sensible price and with great service too - perhaps you should go into business Andy! Dave

    Angling Direct

Received a sale email today after nothing at all since the ‘hack’. Is it safe to assume that their website issues have been resolved, as this is the first communication I have received since that was first advised? Dave

    If Only

The well known syndicate on the middle Hants Avon that I am fortunate enough to be a member of, provided the fees don’t increase too much! A magical place that combines excellent fishing with glorious surroundings, stunning wildlife and peace and quiet that you don’t get at many venues these...

One could ask how you got on there to take that shot, unless it’s from winter when the sunrise is much later? My club book states that fishingcommencs at 07:30 and night fishing is only allowed above the top (Great) weir. Am I missing something? Dave
