    Retro baits

Exactly the same reason I'd make my own. You know what's in them and at what levels. I can imagine the 'fishmeals' made by most big companies contain about 20% fishmeal max. I'd be knocking up a 5 or 6 egg mix myself though. Roughly a kg of bait.

    Retro baits

I agree mate 100 per cent, I made my own boilies for years. Word got on, I ended up sorting a few mates out, they did well, then a few of there mates. Next thing you know I was supplying bait to Ironbridge tackle shop and then dawley tackle shop in telford. Eventually it became to much and I...

    Retro baits

Not long gone on Facebook and seen the company I use for bait is closing down. A shame really as they've been going for a good few years and produce some good bait. Plus there local which makes me feel better for using my local company. Yes, I know barbel will eat anything put in front of them...

    Cheese Boilies

@Paul Rogers @Richard Isaacs Over the years I've used a lot boilies, I'm primarily a boilie user and there my go to bait of choice so I'd like to think I have a fair bit of experience with them. I dont think you can beat the nutrition of a boilie and there effective when trying to target a...

Bit of a long shot, River Severn.

Have a look at the taa stretches David, I fish around the area and don't mind showing you around the waters. Its as close to Ironbridge as you can get and holds a few decent fish, bailiffed regularly and can also stay as late as you'd like on there. 👍

Thoughts on Barbel wising up to rigs

I also agree on this Terry. My pb came to this sort of bite. I hit it thinking it was a chub. I soon realised it wasn't when it shot off down stream. 😂

    Hard pellets

Definitely, they eat snails, shrimp and even Crayfish so I'd say they wouldn't have a problem eating a pellet.

    Help in the burton area...

Hi guys, so as the title suggests I'm looking for a bit of help. Last week I found out I'm going to be working in Burton at the end of the month, for a good year or 2 at the old drake low powerstation. I was hoping to do a few nights in between work on the river whilst I was working away. So the...
