    Trotting/Wading

Paul get some breathable chesties with separate boots. I am happiest up to my bum in water. That way you are closer to the fish and mending line is easier. I had 11 in just over 3 hours last night. You just need spare hooks etc on you and a normal landing net on 2 rod rests and a carp anglers...

    Berkley trilene flourocarbon diameter.

I think specialist anglers miss a trick here match anglers buy and use line on diameter in comparison we are in general still in the stone age.

I have one of the prototypes the 2lb tc version in black. I would say its a through action very similar to my greys prodigy. Not sure what changes were made on the final version.

What are your targets for the new season?

It should work a treat on the Wye fast water about 4 to 6ft deep. Feed heavily with hemp and pigeon conditioner 50 50 mix to get the barbel going and fish big lumps of meat.

What are your targets for the new season?

It works best in low clear conditions when its usually dawn or dusk for the usual approach. With the float there is much more control than trundling or rolling meat and a big long powerful float rod.

What are your targets for the new season?

Hi Mark essentially its trundling meat with a big float up to 15g with a 12g olivette or 12g with a 9 depending on flow. .21 braid and 13lb seaguar floro hooklength of about 12" attached to a swivel stopping the olivette. Fishing around 2ft over depth. But keep adjusting the float till it works...

What are your targets for the new season?

My first target this new season is a 14 on the float. After a terrific summer in 21 I had some great fun float fishing for them and achieved my target of a 13 along with another 20 doubles. So with a little luck a 14 is within reach.

Free Spirit Float Rod advice... user experience wanted

John I disagree I have landed a number of barbel close to snags not giving them an inch on a locked up clutch. They have a tremendous amount of power if your not afraid to use it.
