brilliant Rich ! Garry built my pin the "Turner" in 2009, its based on a Fred J Taylor trotter with a few modifications to make it a one off for me. It did develop a wobble and I literally just picked it up from Garry two weeks ago, its like new now and he wouldn't charge me for restoring it...
Hi Paul, I've had a house in Ludlow since 2009. Back then I would have said the Teme but now you willl find it very tough going for barbel with just the odd fish coming out. Ive fished 4 sessions this season without a bite. Your best options are a BAA ticket for the Severn and a Hereford ticket...
interesting reading .... my friend had a days fishing with Dave Harrell on the Wye and took his Marksman float rod, Harrell said they were made in China from cheap Chinese blanks and he didn't rate them !! He was sponsored by Daiwa at the time I believe.
thanks Chris, fishing is not the priority for this trip but I definitely want to look at some of the rivers and try and grab a couple of hours here and there. Typically we have a ride out each day to explore so it doesn't matter if the base is an hour or so from where the fishing is ?
Hi gents, my wife and I are planning a visit to the North Yorkshire Moors in late September. Any suggestions on a good central place to stay, nice small town with a few good pubs etc, and hopefully within striking distance of a couple of the rivers with a chance of a barbel. Any info...
