Yes indeed Neil, one could catch a fish in the Teme quite far up in the summertime, and then catch the same fish miles downstream in the Severn later...Good luck for this season!

I am very pleased to announce that the opportunity has arisen for some prime river Teme fishing. The area in question is Bransford and the fishery, once well known for its barbel fishing...
Ssshhh.....but seriously, it`s well worth getting back for a go! Just a shame the baa cannot get access back to Cotheridge, if anyone has any ideas please let them or I know, they have tried through the council etc..

I agree Graham, and still do watch them spawn on various rivers, very true what you say regarding how they can be there and busy one minute and not the next, often a difference from morning to afternoon, and easily explained when you see how excited a group of males get by the appearance of a...
I suggest we make sure we bring this up with the controlling clubs and they can have "no fishing" zones, I`ll certainly suggest to my club`s this alternative, then those that are fishing can police (to some degree) those who may break the rule.

monitoring of movement,
restrictions of release,
database of info regarding where injured or orphaned are being kept,
Stop building holts,
stop feeding them by stockings for a while 3-5 yrs perhaps,
These are all forms of control.
