I’ve never used meat for them before but I’ve tried corn lots of times only to fail miserably every time.
Great angling on your part, I’ll stick with my red maggots
If I compare it with the sphere I’d say the sphere has a nudge more power or stiffness in the blank but the spheres tip is softer.
The daiwa is heavier. It’s the same weight as my 15’6 sphere at 187g
They look just the job as an over the shoulder mobile bag.
I never bought much in the way of greys luggage and I probably should have done in hindsight. It’s good quality gear.
I started using my old tackle box again based on your suggestion and it’s been great.
Good job I kept enough tubs...
I would be very tempted had I not already have one.
I certainly wouldn’t trade mine in for a 13ft acolyte plus. Better river float rod in every way imo.
What a lovely and rare condition amazing rod.
Daiwa rods of this caliber are fantastic.
Guides are as good as it gets. Handle and reel...
I fish another section of the Trent much further up.
It’s a lot more difficult with my best result so far being 6 barbel on the float for a full 6 hour day
You get afew chub in amongst that as well but there’s a fraction of the numbers in it compared to areas like ladypit and east stoke etc...
Yeah. If you know ladypit well it’s the very last swim before you get to the nps no1 swim which is quite famous for big match weights.
Well if no one is in that you can run your float right down the tins where the faster deeper water is directly opposite the nps peg. If you take plenty of bait...
Ladypit farm on the river Trent is abit like that. Great sport but doubles come round once in a blue moon. That’s were I had my most amount in a session. It was mental.
Started fishing at 5am, ran out of bait by 1pm for 21 barbel and 39 chub.
Most of the barbel were 4-7lb
I got 1 double at...
That is a difficult question to answer because you don’t really know what you’re going to have to do until you set the hook and see how it’s going to respond.
If I had to generalize then I’d say the 6-9lb bracket of fish are most likely to give you trouble initially.
They charge off in all...
Milo revengers. Was only saying yesterday in the thread how rare it is to see even a good picture of one let alone anything else.
These are Milo’s copy of the normark avenger 2000
I know. It paints a terrible picture imo.
If I sell a rod I take absolutely top quality pictures and make sure it’s completely clean.
Makes a huge difference to the interest you get aswell
Sorry just seen this.
Had a look and it looked a well used example. Some guides bent out of shape and scratches to the blank. Blank was also dirty which tells a tale in itself. No mention of tip being full length or photo showing the sections together which is crucial.
I love the avenger 2000...
Welcome Phillip and very nice pair of rods indeed. Seriously rare especially the avenger.
Just a quick question, when you say you fish them at 17ft does that mean your using 2x 2ft extensions with the 13ft rods.
I was just asking the question Chris. Chill …im Not trying to put you on the defense.
Yes I’m fully aware of Milo’s previous rods which were essentially as close to titans and avengers as you could possibly get as they were even using the same blank manufacturer as well as almost copying the...
