Mark Tunley specialist multi tip

Oh goodness. There, that's more polite than my usual ffs. My commiserations Tim. Are they not replaceable tips u can buy from MT as spares?
Yes, he can supply additional tips.

I will re-jig mine (2” broken off the tip) and see what it is like before I get a replacement.

I don’t particularly like the orange tips either (too much orange) and ironically I broke the all black one !

Still think it's a shame Mark won't do a custom on this... I don't particularly like the orange tips and id prefer different rings.... Which got me thinking they are already premade, in China?
Have a look at Graham's custom version at buzzard rods , he has made his to fit drennan quiver tips , some are supplied with the rod , but you can obviously purchase any to suit your requirements.

I do recall Mark saying that with his carbon tips they act seemlessly with the whole tip section.... As in there isn't any flat spots in the quiver section. I wasn't entirely sure if he was saying there is with the use of Drennans or not?

MT built me a Torrix tip rod and said exactly the same
In fact I free issued a selection of Drennan carbon tips to him which he honed so they fit the carrier section perfectly
And 4 seasons on it works and god forbid I snap a tip , replacements are readily available
Re a Multi purpose tip rod- I love mine and use it as much as I can mainly with a 3oz tip but do use 2 oz for winter chub when flow allows
Had plenty of barbel, chub, big perch. Modest fish are great sport but I have confidence I can deal with bigger fish if they turn up , so best of both worlds
Restrictions are casting weights/ distance as I use a 4000 reel which balances perfectly as I fish ‘ Rod in hand’ so I want it light as possible but not suitable for distance fishing , but you could get away with a min-pit style if you wanted
Summise the MT version will do much the same.
It can make other rods redundant.

How are people enjoying their Tunley Multi-Tip rods? It certainly sounds like an interesting rod, it sounds like it could be a jack of all trades.... but has anyone found that these have become their go-to rods, are they easy to love and when do you reach for these first?

@Michael Humberstone did you manage to put yours to some good use for tench?

Does anyone know how the 11.5ft version might compare to something like the Free Spirit Barbel Seeker SU with the carrier section and tips? Is the Multi Tip a distinctly lighter rod than the Barbel Seeker or could they be pressed to perform similar functions?

I am after that elusive all-rounder I guess, chub and barbel on the river and feeder fishing for Tench - even winter roach on the feeder seem feasible with this one.
Oh did I!..... started at some nice weights then 7lb 12 oz and my best fish of the day at 8lb 10oz really going to target the fishery in 2025 I feel there are bigger to be found.
