Shakespeare SKP ruckbag

Hi gents
Does anyone have any experience with these bags.
Looking for a bag that lays flat without being too large that I can also attach an unhooking mat to.
Any opinions greatly appreciated.

I had one briefly, pretty much the Korum Ruckbag but rebranded to Shakespeare.

The chair carrying part was a strap rather than the hooks on the sides but not much difference otherwise.

Many thanks Mark. Any reason you fdidnt hold into it ? Also considering the Avid RVS .

When I first saw the SKP range I liked it (even though some of it was clearly rebranded) and I was going to get some the new Shakespeare luggage and rods since I used a lot of their stuff in my younger days (I lived walking distance from the warehouse in Redditch back in the day) but in the end I stuck with all my Korum stuff.

Nothing wrong with the bag at all and if you can get one cheaper than the Korum alternative then I'd go for it.

Thanks Mark. I’m also looking at the Korum Progress as that allows you to clip an unhooking mat to it.

I love my Korum stuff, had the current Roving kit but just bought the 35L regular rucksack. Nice bit of kit.

Shop around, I bet you'll find the progress ruckbag cheaper than the shakespeare one

I should point out you can hold a mat on the shakespeare bag but they are electric straps and not D rings to clip to.

I'd still pick the Korum bag though.

Got the fox voyager aka camolite ruckall, absolutely love it,fits lovely without any straps across the chest, it is quite large but just dont over fill it ,can do a long day session easily 👍

Thanks for the info Mark . I’ve seen the Korum Progress ruck bag ( the smaller version) for £39 brand new which is a great price . Probably going to go for that.

I was looking at that ad it’s a great bag but have a large rucksack already. Ideally looking for something to replace my Drennan Specialist. Thanks 👍

Yeah you can get some great deals on korum stuff. I've been a fan for a long time, admit I've had a bit of a moan about them at times but all my stuff is still korum.

Kevin, can I ask where you got your Korum Progress please, I can’t find them at that price.

Only one left as I’ve just bought one.
Get in quick but add a small item like a baiting needle to take it over £40 for free postage.

I have the SKP ruckbag and think it is a good piece of kit. As stated the top end has two elasticated straps for holding a unhooking mat however as I use a Korum Fastmat there are two D rings on the bag to which the fast matt can easily be fitted. The bag has seven zipped pockets plus a number of open pouches in the main compartment that allows for storage of bits and pieces all of which allow you keep your contents well organised. The overall build quality is good a chest strap is provided as standard. I got mine from Glasgow Angling Centre for £55 the usual price seems to be around £70.

Thanks Andy. Good to know someone has used one and they're happy with it.
Just bought a Korum Fastnet 👍
