It was reference the line capability. But,Not too shabby angling that, but that's commonplace for fiskerton and surrounding areas for me.

Slawek. Most of the Gardener lines are.Thinking Anglers OGX in 15-18lb
It is copolymer line
Yes. Uncoated Braid far less abrasion resistance than mono as a main line. You’ll find Jim, that with many lines break strains mean nothing. It’s the diameter figure that is most important. I won’t go barbel fishing with a line of less than 0.35 and the reason being is I’ve had that suffer damage and still landed fish.
0.35 in my choice of line is 18lb Fox Exocet but it can also be 12lb GR60
I assume you use a long leader with your 40lb braid? When it comes to abrasion resistance braid is far more likely to be cut off than mono.
13.99 deal AT at moment AlexNash Bullet, 12lb, you could tow a car with that.
That they are and mostly pre stretched aswell to reduce the diameter and maintain the strength.Slawek. Most of the Gardener lines are.

Is that Angling Times Graham?13.99 deal AT at moment Alex
I'm a silly boyIs that Angling Times Graham?
I have never ever been let down by ESP Synchro XT ( not the loaded version). I use it with complete confidence in strains between 12 and 18 for Barbel and Carp. Usually 12 for Barbel.about to respool my reels I use for floodwater fishing and have used fox Exocet 23Ib last few years but this seems to be out of stock everywhere, or postage is too much for my liking…so wondering what do others recommend?
Just had a look at this line test chart . The inconsistency of braking strain on braid mainlines is amazing and quite shocking , surely this is a massive con and far outweighs the pros of braid as a mainline or indeed as a hook lengthWhichever line you choose I would recommend first checking the tackle box line tests results first: https://tacklebox.co.uk/knowledge-base-en/customer-service/tackle-box-line-test/
Surely that depends on the diameter and bs of the braid being used!Just had a look at this line test chart .
