such a shame Terry, every time I visit it you just sit there and remember the good times ! I did catch 4 last season in 6 or 7 trips but 0 for 1 so far this season.
 
BTW, this was one of my first regular fishing haunts as a teen. Headings Mill.
Usually 3 or 4 of us fished here through most weather's. Our dad's taking it in turn to run us up from Swindon Village (me) and Bishops Cleeve, and bring us home with our stinking kit. 😉
Lob worm was the go-to bait, unless we were bleak bashing with maggits. Plenty of small chub, perch and roach, plus occasionalbream andflounder. Good spot, even in flood conditions, as it was the turning bay for the grain barges that came up from Avonmouth.
