    i'm not trying to cause friction as i really dont know much about bait ingredient effects on fish but arent the pellets we use in our fishing the same as are used for farm bred salmon and trout..if so then they dont seem to do these fish any harm

    pinning the hooklength down

    it normally does get pinned down in the strong flow but to make absolutely sure..you could use fast sinking braid hooklinks... or mould some rig putty a few inches from the hook.... i wouldnt use leadcore...just asking for trouble on the rivers....
