How does the preston compare to the acolyte specimen?

2Lb+ fish are pretty regular and 3lb+ not that uncommon. It's looking likely I'll just buy the acolyte plus or specimen. Unless I can find a few more reviews of the preston.

There doesn't seem to be many options around. I'll probably just buy an Acolyte plus or take a gamble on the preston. I like the look of the daiwa tournament s, but it comes in at almost double the price which makes it an even riskier blind buy.

Have you had experience using this rod? Cant find much info or reviews online

Im leaning towards the acolyte plus. I also like the look of the preston supera x 15ft but its hard to find out much info online. And then suggestions for any other rods worth looking into?

I've mostly been using 13ft acolyte plus /specimen and 13ft6' browning sphere for my grayling fishing. I'm thinking of buying a 15ft rod to use this winter on some of the larger rivers I fish and was looking for suggestions? As i stay in central scotland actually seeing / holding any rods...

Got out on the river for a day at the weekend and managed 8 grayling, 3 of them were over 2lb and 1 was bang on the 3lb mark. The smallest fish of the day was 1lb 6oz. The photos are of the 2 biggest.

I'm looking for some suggestions for floats to use when trotting for grayling? I've been using drennan loafers and more recently titanium trotters. I find these ok, but they get hard to see when trotting a decent distance, especially in faster flowing water. Ideally I'm looking for floats that...

Seen they had a used 15fter for that price. Unfortunately I didn't see it until it was sold

It's the cheapest I have seen them by quite a bit. If I hadn't just bought the 13fter a couple of weeks ago (or if it was the 15ft at that price) I would have bought one for myself.

TFT have the acolyte specimen 14ft for £180 and there's a Xmas code for another 15% off. That takes it down to £152. It's showing 2 in stock on their website.
