    Yes and thanks mate,being an older dad I'm now 55 he's 8 must admit sometimes I've struggled to keep myself in control but we manage to do it and fishing helps...

    My youngest started coming to the ribble with me last Yr and loves his fishing,he also as adhd and aspergers so was a bit worried he couldn't sit still but everytime we go he lasts longer, he's now on 4/5hrs which is awesome for him..

    I've just bought a set of korum ones,they tilt and have snag ears which are obviously great for the river,they are a budget alarm with no sensitivity or volume settings but for 17 quid can't grumble..

    16mm to a size 6 korda wide gape,don't forget that's 2 boilies if I was using 1 I'd use a size 8 korda wide gape cheers.

    I really enjoy floodwater fishing,my rig is usually a running rig with lead to suit conditions but I put 2 float stops on the line to catch all the debris and it works surprisingly well,in floodwater I shorten my hooklink to 12/15 inch with 2 boilies wrapped in matching paste..

    It's all about common sense,if the rivers raging through I use my 2.25 ,if its well down I use a quiver rod simple as that!! Ps not a carp rod or combi link insight lol

    I use 12lb fluorocarbon with wide gape micro barbed hooks both from korda as my local tackle shop sells it,I do buy drennan specialist for smaller hooks thou..
