    I'd recommend a British Army Patrol Pack Daysack, nice size for barbel fishing, very robust, durable, well balanced and very comfortable.

    Bulk pellets

    Best bet would be to see if you've got an animal feed store locally, should be able to pick a 25kg sack up for around £27 or so. If you get them from a angling company you'll probably end up paying a lot more than that! Failing that if you've got a trout farm close by they might be able to help.
