Home un Leisure? I won a 15ft 6 one from them on Ebay for about £200. They never delivered it and eventually I got my money back. Paid a bit more than £200 when I finally got hold of one. 🫣 Money well spent!
Tube with end caps is what I keep going back to in order to protect the tips and stand off rod rings, especially on the butt sections of my favourite and more expensive trotting rods. I picked up a few cheap second hand Milo pole cases (think they are 170cm long) as they aren't quite long enough...
A heads up for the BFW pin afficionados, it looks like Roger Surgay has purchased a large collection of pins from a collector and is selling them off on the Crabtree bazaar and centrepin reels for sale or wanted groups on Facebook.
There are some Mill Tackle company reels and I think I spotted...
I have found my Triaxial rods to be great all rounders, I am not bumping dace and roach off when fishing for chub & barbel, yet it had enough lower down to deal with the bigger fish. However in a few swims I don't use them and prefer the tsi 15ft power float.
A new 15ft Normark is a potential...
I have found the specimen has noticeably more power than the plus and a better action for me when float fishing for larger chub, barbel & tench etc. I would agree the plus isn't really a barbel rod, the fish I landed on my plus (and the ones I lost) convinced me of that.
It is fantastic to see...
Interesting you picked up a Triaxial 13/15/17 Richard! I finally got one a couple of months ago. Not used it in anger yet ( I have a pair of Triaxial 13/15 that I really like) It feels good waggling it at 17ft in the garden, can't wait to try it out on the river.
Definitely on my wishlist, due to other recent purchases of quality long rods I won't be rushing in. Interested to hear what anyone on here who buys one and fishes with it thinks.
