Petworth & Bognor AC worth joining ?

I've fished both the Mole at Dorking & the Rother. The Mole is easier to catch Barbel, but the Rother is a much nicer & quieter place to fish. It is possible to fish the Rother in the week & not meet anyone else all day. I also haven't fished any Pulborough stretches. I know they were...

    TFGear 15ft tremor float.

I'm sure I was told by Alun Parsons that TFG & Free Spirit started at the same time and due to their size, neither were big enough on their own to purchase good quality blanks, but together they could. As a result the early TFG and Free Spirit rods were built on the same blank. They had both...

    What's this spike for please?

Mike. I've managed to find my ones & whilst they look identical, the hole in the top is 13mm meaning any standard bank stick will fit it. Are you sure yours is only 10mm? Mine also has 2 thumb screws & I can see in your picture it looks like you have lost one of yours.

    What's this spike for please?

Mike. The spike was made by Gardner probably over 20 years ago. I can't recall the name but I had a couple. The idea behind it was to be able to get a bankstick into hard ground. You screwed it into the ground using a tommy bar then put your bank stick into the top & tightened the screw to...
