    harrison rods, what tc?

Hi Marcin, to be honest i don't really think about the feel anymore , both tips are sensitive and responsive as far as I'm concerned, its just that when you have say an 8lb+ fish on the 1.75lb bends almost right through to the cork and the 2lb doesn't.The last winter fish I caught on the 2lb TC...

    harrison rods, what tc?

Hi Marcin, I fish the area around Symonds Yat too and five years ago invested in a Torrix twin top 1.75 lb/2lb .I seldom use the 1.75lb these days on the Wye , maybe in NSL conditions in areas without snags in which it's a pleasure to use but most of the time use the 2lb tip as it gives me the...

    jrc x-lite or chub lo-lite

I swapped my Chub chair for the Nash Nomad as mentioned above , the higher back was much more comfortable, also the padded bit is velcroed on and removes for cleaning when it gets too stinky/muddy.

    Reuben Heaton 9000 Digital Scales?

Two seasons of mild use ( I only weigh anything thats borderline double i.e. very few ) and no problems at all . I calibrated them against a set of scientific scales I had from a chemistry lab and they were close to within 10-15 grams , no battery change yet and no malfunctions, all good.Be...

Ian tucker built rod. Top rod builder

I bought a twin top torrix 2 lb / 1.75 made by Ian 4 years ago , I rarely use the 1.75 except in really low and slow summer rivers and haven't lost a fish yet due to the rod, wonderfully understated , can't recommend his rods highly enough.

    How big is yours.

Summer floods on the Wye I used one sixth of a tin and got a PB , this Xmas / new year I tried a quarter of a tin and whittled off the edges and didn't get a bite , nibbled it down to about one eighth of a tin with still no bites , who knows ?Much more confident using Enterprise meat mates than...

Hi Stuart - am I right in thinking the 3 fields above (upstream) the road bridge are very slim and in total are about 100 metres ? Thanks, Mark

    New club at Topcliffe

Hi Stuart ,I was not very familiar with the BS stretch but I do fish the Leeds DASA Asenby water on the opposite bank - does your side extend upstream above the road bridge ? also how many fields down from the bridge ? Regards, Mark.
