Been using a pair of Dave Lumb Chimera CS12-SU rods as my heavier set up for a couple of years now. Only got them second hand but lovely rods and will be keeping them for good now.

You are absolutely right catching a D Stour or H Avon Barbel is now an achievement to be treasured. Although there are high double figure fish in stretches of the H Avon I guess it's the same few fish repeatedly caught. Hope I am wrong about that though.

Large parts of the Hampshire Avon are already syndicate waters, especially the better stretches. Although Severals is still a club water and Royalty Fishery day tickets.

I used Trigga with extra GLM for carp fishing when it first came out it was a superb bait. Since the new ownership i guessed the ingredients would change for their baits to cut costs.
