    Landrover Defender/L200 Warrior

Do not wish to be smug but my 2a is an Historic Vehicle and does not attract Road Tax. Also totally English, although in this day and age I probably should not raise that flag. As ever, Hugo

    Landrover Defender/L200 Warrior

Bit late on parade here chaps, but I have had a Landrover 2a 88 since 1980 and I rate her as the best fishing vehicle available. Well done Neil, that is exactly the tone that we should adopt. I would happily sign a petition along those lines. Regards, Hugo

    Reasons for Barbel population decline

Returning to the concern over otters, the stretch of the Kennet I fish near Newbury has had its population of barbel decimated by our furry friends. There are so many factors influencing the numbers of barbel and this thread has provided some excellent discussion, for which I thank you. HUGO

The most awful news. May Keith rest in peace and my deepest sympathy is extended to his family.

    Your favourite barbel reel

Agreed. I also enjoy using my Mitchell 300 and a small Shimano, a gift from my daughter. Regards, Hugo
