Do not wish to be smug but my 2a is an Historic Vehicle and does not attract Road Tax.
Also totally English, although in this day and age I probably should not raise that flag.

Bit late on parade here chaps, but I have had a Landrover 2a 88 since 1980 and I rate her as the best fishing vehicle available. In 1991 I bought a Discovery Tdi which was splendid for towing our horse trailer and long distance fishing trips.

I find it difficult to believe that anyone could reserve a swim on a river. I know that Jack Harrigan used to have first claim on his famous swim but did not object when a young chap was fishing it.
In my dotage fishing is really just about being there!

Returning to the concern over otters, the stretch of the Kennet I fish near Newbury has had its population of barbel decimated by our furry friends.
There are so many factors influencing the numbers of barbel and this thread has provided some excellent discussion, for which I thank you.
