    Korum omega rods

Korum ? .... I know personally two people who've had Korum Barbel rods snap inexplicably on them, and I've had a quiver rod snap just above the spigot whilst retrieving a not very big ball of weed, also i personally know of an angler .... Known on here ! who's had a landing net spreader block...

    Unhooking mats.....

Well there are mats, and then there are mats, some mats aren’t necessarily better than lush grass, but I suppose any old crap mat on top of lush grass is a plus I guess 🤔

    Unhooking mats.....

If you don't have to follow club or syndicate rules, common sense is all that's needed. If you know the type of ground in the swims you'll likely be fishing, it's not rocket science to be able to provide sufficient protection when laying a Barbel ... or any fish on the ground or above it. If...

    Bread

In a word no ! over maybe 100's of sessions fishing for chub, and Roach..... It's all I use for Roach ! I've never once had a Barbel take it ! If you forced me to use it, I'd make a stiff paste and flavour it ! ;)

Are we losing our Sixth Sense?

it's been a while since I posted last, but this thread got me going ! .... so hi all I'm still here 😁 . 'Our sixth Sense' I think is no more than intuition, something that's learned, and honed over years with the experiences of our successes, and failures, but I think there is something else...

    Making your own bait.

IMO yes it is, but it’s a long road of learning, it’s no good having a dabble, you need to actually enjoy doing it, and it does depend on what you want from your fishing, if you’ve got a hang up about it becoming obsessive, then you’d best not do it, because to a degree you do need to be, also...

    Big Cat sightings

I do think they're out there, but obviously very few, probably there must be instances of successful litters, but it must be far from successful breeding, watching a you tube video on Big Cats, the evidence was convincing, but there have been captive big cats of various types in this country for...

    Unhooking mat or not?

My answer to the first points ! ... 11ft or 12ft rods ..... 12 ft I only own 12ft Barbel rods Centrepin or fixed spool ..... Fixed Arsenal or Spuds (well obvious really :) ) ... Pops ... What are you on about ??? 🤔 Chairs with arms or not, ... I've got both, i never hold my rods, so it dosn't...

    Unhooking mat or not?

Don't know how i missed this thread ! 🤔 Because i would have commented before 😁 ' QUOTE' ......Ok, before I duck for cover, wi' my tin hat firmly buckled on tight, can anyone give a single reason NOT to use one? Well no I can't, or not a reasonable one anyway ! And I always do..... Always ...

    Big Cat sightings

So before I start, I never actually saw anything of a Feline nature ! Just what you might say is circumstantial evidence ! So this was on St Patricks stream, I can't remember the exact year, but it was long before the dedicated car park, when we used to park along the field fence along Loddon...
