Thanks for the input guys.
I think it's going to be an acolyte 14' specimen. I already have a few float rods that will cover almost everthing, in fact, I think this is just going to be an indulgence perhaps when the new season starts.
Anyone have any experience with one of these. I'm in the market for a rod specifically for trotting, I'd sort of settled on the 14ft acolyte specimen after handling one on the bank, had a waggle with the 15ft in the shop and also saw this. It feels good in the hand, will double up into equal...
I think I'm going to try one, checked out ceramic bearings @ about £6.00 each if ceramic is the way to go??
I'm sure it'll be OK for rolling meat and more industrial tasks on the bank.
I have some old neoprenes and some newer ali express/temu?? chest waders that I might cut down.
I'm getting some new chest waders, probably Vass and wanted the thigh on a budget, cutting the old one's just popped into my head!
My fishing is going back to basics this season, done my share of static, behind the rods bait and wait. I already have a Terry Daniels pin which is a nice reel, I'm looking to get one or two more but can't quite justify the money for top end reels. Are the cheap reels any good/usable?
