Any active members in or around above? Hopefully one who possibly travels a little? I am in Essex. A rod there which I fancy on Facebook but clearly unecomomic to pay 50£ for couriers. Plan to get up there myself in a month or two, maybe mid June.

That you both very much guys. I will pm you shortly Steve
Come on Alec, we are intruiged as to the allure of your next addition to the collection.
What on Earth can it be?
Ha, yuo know me too well!.
I have a RIve R 11ft feeder I imported from Austria just based on recomendations. It really is magic.
THey did an R design rod, which has build in quiver tips, ie 3 full length sections instead of a push in.Just wondered how they perform.Hope to find out., THye were sold through A/D. Hope to get one.

Now your talking Alec, we called them Donkey tops,us old uns the through action of these quivers on such a rod will be a delight I am sure.
I have in the loft an old John Wilson quiver rod, 11 ft again a full length quiver top section, bought it second hand, but it's a glass quiver which makes it too floppy really, I assume yours are carbon?
Fwiw I cannot find any blurb on a JW quiver rod such as mine, I have four push in Wilson Avon rods including the original, but this one is a mystery, perhaps you might know?
Good luck, not too long now🤔

I did have a shimano x7 with 3 tops. Let it go as it was the power model so of limited use to me. But I really liked the curve. Got into Rive late. The 11ft r feeder even though a tip rod is superb too. Their top of the range was the r design, over 400£ in a/d. Don't think they sold many. Looked for ages. Agreed to buy the 12ft in Litchfield now one if the great guys on here have kindly offered to colĺect and hold for me for a few weeks. Just one of the many pluses this site brings to us all.ps even bought the rive mf pro reels from fishdeal who were selling end ranges. They are nice too. No don't need any if this, but it makes thing interesting and means I have to make a trip worth. Been thing time I went to NMM again. Why not?

I'm about 10 miles from Lichfield so I could help you
Thanks Steve. I think I have a deal, agreed price, just waiting for details to pay. David Hinton is seller. I will pay ofcourse then ask you to kindly collect and hold until I get up that way, probably June, if thats ok
