Trousers

I've got a pair of these too, Great trousers!šŸ‘
Well based upon user recomendations I have bought a pair of these.
I really hope my first impressions are unfounded.

They seem very light and flimsy to me and I am thinking that my first foray wandering along a river bank will see them probably with a few rips and tears. Brambles and I are on mostly first name terms
However I am really hard on clothing, and my experiences with so called modern ā€œtechnical wearā€,ripstop etc is that they dont exceed expectations, in fact so far such clothing that I have purchased and used have never been anything like suitable.

I will use the above as casual walking wear . I am thinking that splashing out on a pair of Fjallravens or similar will hopefully fit the bill. Whatever I get will really need to be a cut above most modern stuff .

David.

It might be worth checking out the trousers on Temu David.
I have some excellent stretch thermal cargo trousers my Mrs bought me from there for less than a tenner, in fact I told her to get me a couple more pairs which cost less than a fiver a pair due to Temu doing some amazing offers.
Temu is a great place to shop because it's cheap, there are no problems or messing about with returns and refunds, and as soon as you post them back, your money automatically goes back to your account. There are no return post costs either.
There are loads on there, so deffo worth a look, David.

Yes, defo agree with Ian, i too have had some proper heavy duty cargo pants off Temu, nice and thick. I bought the first pair, just to see what they were like, expecting cheap tat. But i was so surprised, i ordered another 2 pairs.

hello david , chris asked for advice on good trousers for fishing , not good trousers for walking through brambles .
I find your post somewhat off point given that you’ve not worn said trousers , and condemned them to casual walking wear ( whatever that means)
Did you not have a feel of them in the shop before you made the purchase ?

A bit difficult if purchased online , but I do take your point.
I suppose a lot depends upon the areas you fish . I do a lot of bank miles in a year with minimal gear when possible and prefer to fish in lesser / never used swims , off the beaten track so yes, I do tend to force my way through bushes, brambles , over / under barbed wire fences etc .
Not everybodys cup of tea I know but each to their own .

David
