Has anyone got any views on this jacket for winter as I'm on the verge at purchasing it as its been reduced in a few tackle shops or is there another jacket I have totally missed

I got a full Nash ZT winter suit some 14 years ago, still going strong now although a little 'weathered'

The only thing with the ZT clothing is it is (was?) designed for carp anglers sat in a bivvy not moving much.

It keeps you very warm however once you're on the move along the river in winter you soon feel it and can get very warm and sweaty if no base layer.

Cheers mate .... as thats food for thought

I've got a Keela Belay Pro jacket which I really rate. They're a Scottish walking / climbing brand and this jacket is deigned for when you are stationary dealing with the ropes whilst your partner is climbing.
It's pretty warm but not crazily so,. With it unzipped, walking to and from swims is fine. If its really cold (piking weather) then a jumper underneath or a waterproof on top does the trick.
RRP is £120 but you can usually find them for £80-90.

Looks very much like the Snugpak softie’s etc at a cheaper price point 👍🏻

I think so, yes. I've just replaced my old one, which I'd had for 10+ years. I thought about giving Snupack a try, but there aren't any stockist near me and my old Keela one was great so decided to stick with what I know.
The Keela jacket has Primaloft Gold insulation which is used by a lot of the high end outdoor brands for jackets and also sleeping bags.
