14 foot float rod storage and transport

Same here.

I have 2 lightweight tubes. I takes 1x trotting rod, the other takes 2x for the few occasions I want to take 2 rods. Either goes in an old Nash super basic quiver.
 
You can pick up old poles fairly cheaply. Choose the smallest sections you can get away with, glue sections together if necessary. Make up some sort of ends and you have a low diameter carbon fibre storage for your rod. The rod needs cloth protection though since the rings will rub on the inside of the tube.
 
Tube with end caps is what I keep going back to in order to protect the tips and stand off rod rings, especially on the butt sections of my favourite and more expensive trotting rods. I picked up a few cheap second hand Milo pole cases (think they are 170cm long) as they aren't quite long enough to fit many longer poles inside.

I keep my Spheres, Triaxials, Allertons, TFG tsi & Hi-S in a tube inside the pole cases. 4 tubes to a case just fits. I need to find something suitable for my rods that are longer than 15 ft / 15.5ft.

I use a vision fly rod tube, the 5ft version (I think they do a 6ft too as well as a shorter one), can fit 4 3 piece rods in their sleeves in it, and because it’s a transport case it’s incredibly tough. Keeps my acolyte, cadence and both mine and my dad’s normarks safe and takes up less room in the car than any rod bag.
