Hi to all BAA members
I’m a new member of the BAA and I live in Surrey And never fished the Severn before and looking to travel to fish the middle Severn on the BAA stretch. I’ve been viewing the BAA booklet but as im not familiar to the beats can anyone advise where to go ?
Thank you

Hi Keith, i assume you'll be travelling up and staying overnight ? all of the middle Severn beats are worth go, a lot depends on the river levels when you come, time of year etc. Summer is def the busiest time and you'll see all the swims are well fished. If you let us know what you're planning we could be more helpful ?

Hi Cliff thanks for your reply , I’m looking to come up possibly in 2 or 3 weeks, I’m possibly staying at trimpley where I located a cheap Airbnb, where I thought would be a good base. I did look at Northwood Beat as was easier for me to locate hopefully 🤞

Hi Keith, Trimpley is a good stretch but its a long walk down a steep hill, the one back is worse ! My personal favourite is Arley as you can fish both banks up and downstream but tbh wherever you go there will be barbel and chub, just keep moving if you are not catching would be my advice. feel free to PM me if you want more info.
