I would also consider 8000 as there not a lot heavier, and would only be on the rests, probs 98 percent of the time, the other 1 percent casting and messing about.
And 1 percent hoping for a bite?

Jim, not the thunnus but if you want an alternative I have some Shimano XTEA 8000 which are immaculate if you're interested.

Thanks Kevin, I looked at this option , but when you add 90 import tax and customs fees???.
Ill stick with the wide drum deluxe speedias I have on them for now.

I think they have it mixed up with the original Thunnus.They were known as the big blue baitrunner.

I know they don't fit on the 4000 as I've tried, needs a load of washers or something .
But I have 4 6000s coming from the land of ozz.
There only 166 each plus a bribe to ship to the UK.
If they don't bring out a CI4+ soon with the higher carbon to resin body.
I fear the Thunnus will be discontinued.

Thunnus wont ever be discontinued Jim. They are one of the most popular salt water reels going in the countries they are sold. The Americans and Australians absolutely love em and they ain’t stupidly expensive to purchase out there.

It was never intended for the uk market hence why distributors can’t obtain them unless they buy from another distributor abroad in which case its being marked up 3 times before we get them.
