Chris,

Join the Association of Barbel Fishers and you will be able to buy a ticket for the Wyre Piddle stretch. A donation of a fiver will get you membership of the ABF, fishery ticket will then be available to you in the members shop on the website...:)

Chris, have found myself barbel fishing all through the night on the warks avon quite unproductive. After the first hour or two of darkness that is,with only chub, snotties, eels and zander a worthwhile target

I think Mark is spot on. I used to bailiff a stretch where people night fished and they rarely caught at night. As soon as it gets dark at the moment eels are getting the bait. I like to go to the pub when it gets dark and talk fishing. I have caught all through the day but you may have to move a few times. Autumn coming now so the need to fish into dark lessens further IMO. BAA is probably easiest and lots of good water.
