Yes, I bought one on Friday and used it yesterday to shelter from the sun, the quality is superb, the mechanism same as the super brolly so the ribs are out of the way, I really like it. It is light but it is also quite bulky, something to be considered, the package is the length of a normal brolly but about 8 inches diameter
8 INCHES in diameter is that a blokes 8" Ian or have you measured it ? i was reaching for the credit card before i read that,if it really is that big then its not fitting in my quiver and is for that reason 100% useless !
Good shout Simon, just measured it and it's actually 5 1/2 inches (the brolly packed that is!!)
Crooky, that's unusual for you to over-estimate a measurement of girth.
He was stating Diameter though Dave, Girth/circumference is a completely different kettle of fish
Whoops, my bad.
Let me know what you think of the brolly Si, I like the idea of a 45" brolly but without the bulky mechanism.
Otherwise I might try one of these FISHING TENT BIVVY SHELTER LIGHT WEIGHT LAST FEW LEFT | eBay
I don't think there is technique as such just a steady pull down on the central boss. Perhaps a little tricker when the wind is pulling things in the opposite direction admitedly
I manage to squeeze it into a drennan super specialist quiver.
