Campin n' Fishin!

Looking at doing a few days camping with the missus but also with the chance of a little fishing as well. Anyone know of any campsites that have a stretch of river on site. Im in Surrey so needs to be below the midlands.

Does your wife like hill climbing. Heart attack hill was a nightmare. Fishing was [in 80's] very good indeed if you don't mind the weed. Quite shallow, about 400 yards. Ticket at the booking room [must show rod licence]. Late autumn/winter was best.
I loved the place for the fish quality. No idea what it is like now.

Good Luck

Mike

Paul theres a great camp site right next to the thames at laleham green,
carp, barbel, chub and massive bream shoals all free fishing at laleham green mate with lots of other spots within a 10 minute journey.
really good clean site with all facilities, pubs and restaurants within a 10 minute walk and always a friendly bunch camping there;)

Gonna go through it with the old memsahib tonight. She was pretty insistant that we go to the New Forest and at Sandyballs you can only use tents in August.......And she is very insistant about staying in a tent as well!!
