The BFW Wye Fish in 2003 - Part 2

back - next

One of the Biblins most famous sites "The Biblins Bridge"

With another famous bfwer (paul4barbus) standing contemplating whether he dare cross it! Note both hands and feet firmly on the bridge!

We then came across Steve Richardson (eelfisher) and Dave Wingfield (wingers). Steve as usual had caught and had 3 barbel, the biggest going 8lbs.

Dave getting what he deserved the EELS!!!!!

Steve attempting to make his base camp in the middle of the river!

We then came upon Howard (skidlid) and his son Steve.

Now Howard and Steve had a problem. The peg they had decided to fish was rather inaccessible. Luckily they had brought the "Company Lorry" along with all manner of civil engineering equipment, this was how it looked when they had finished!

Think they are coming back with the concrete steps and handrails?

After a walk that seemed to last for hours we think we may have found the Biblins beast

What do you think? (No. Not Paul!)

On the way back the rain started to pour down and we arrived back at the meadow wet but warm.

In our absence Jim (Bewdley), Richard (10 bellies) and Matthew Hand had arrived. After warm handshakes and intros all round, Paul and Matt talked of funny reels and other old duffers’ stuff.

We talked of barbel, the Wye and how good "is" the food and beer in "The Saracens Head", they were to find out very soon.

The "Saracens Head"
