There are other beats adjoining the stretch both up and down stream. The properties are at most 40 metres from the river, 30 metres behind is the Severn valley Steam railway. Our stretch of river is 100yds away, with private fishing, which does not belong to us, and can be booked through the Wye & Usk Foundation, a quarter of a mile away. Day tickets are available from the local shop at Bishopswood. Other Barbel fishing areas close by are, The Biblins, Symonds Yat, and the market town of Ross-on Wye. Close by Lake fishing is also available, at Drummonds Dub, and Hartelton which offers Bream, Carp, Roach, Perch, Tench, & Rudd. The cottage has a secure stone shed available for the storage of equipment. The Inn on The Wye is 150 yds away offering excellent food and beer at sensible prices. Kerne Cottage comprises of two bedrooms sleeping 4 people in either two double beds, or one double bed and 2 singles. It has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with log burner.
