A tremendous effort but in the AT he's quoted as saying " I had to jump into the lake ..... At one point I was neck deep in th elake and hardly able to touch the bottom..... If true, that's just plain bloody stupid. No fish is worth your life.

Tonight in 3 consequtive casts I had a chub then a barbel then a golden coloured common carp thing about 8lb, from a little river I fish occasionally.
