Wychwood Avon rod on Ebay

I have a pair in the 1.75lb TC and like them although not to everyone's taste as they are a through action but being brought up on MkIV's and fibreglass it is not a problem to me.

At 1.25lb TC I would only be happy fishing where there are only smaller barbel and space to play them. You won't Hit and Hold with one of these!

Could be good for tench and also chub if you don't want a quiver tip.

Biggest plus for me on these rods is they are double leg rings throughout which prevents me bending the rings when carried and stored made up.

I did buy one of mine new for £39.95 posted so not such a huge bargain.
 
Never used the Wychwood Solace rods but have used and sometimes still use the Maximizer which is a very decent twin-tip. I do have a couple of the Solace reels which are, in my opinion better than similar priced Shimano reels.
